Jackpot Training have recently been commissioned by Newham DAT to undertake an extensive piece of research regarding the use of DUST & referrals. This referral pathway project will build on the good practice that has been achieved over the past two years; and support workers in the clear identification of service provision and the associated routes into them for young people. It will also highlight any potential unmet need that exists within the Borough and provide possible solutions to these issues.

The project will consist of consultation and liaison with stakeholders, providers and potential referrers in order to gain the required information for the project. A professionally produced/printed referral pathway document will be created for local use, along with a detailed Q&A document for local printing. A recommendations paper on monitoring service use to create a performance management protocol document and a flowchart linking DUST/CAF procedural issues will be presented to both SMCG and CSMT meetings. All necessary forms will have the ability to be imbedded into local computer systems upon completion of the project.
